Deborah A. Altman Memorial Junior Tournament

The Deborah A. Altman is a district tennis tournament for boys and girls ages 12 through 18. It is a singles format competition that runs for 3 days in the summer. It is a sanctioned United States Tennis Association (USTA) Tournament.

Deborah A. Altman was a respected lawyer in Lancaster. She was a strong fighter for women’s rights and Title IX in sports. Every year Lancaster Country Day School presents a community service award in her name. Additionally, a local agency that provides a safe place for families in crisis named their house as Deb’s House in her honor. Deb and her family were avid supporters of tennis serving both the Lancaster Tennis Patrons Association, and fundraiser for National Junior Tennis League.

Jenni Grove, USPTA, is the Director of the Deborah A. Altman Memorial Junior Tournament since 2010.
